How were Rodinia and Pangaea similar and different from each other? When did the tectonic plates appear to move the fastest? Look at Pangaea (250 million years ago). If the continents looked like Pangaea today, what would the world be like? Think about governments, sports teams and leagues, and other aspects of life. Look at Pangaea. If you could pick any place in Pangaea to start a modern civilization, where would you pick? Why?

Rodinia was different from Pangaea becasue the countries were opposite off the directions they were in. The two supercontinents were the same becasue all of the continents were attatched.

The plates appear to move the fastest when pangaea broke apart.

The world would be congested and there would be war... I think.

I would pick where Iraq was at becasue of all the oil. I would also take North America into consideration also beacasue of the water.

2nd Quater Blog Number 1

How deep is the deepest mine in the world? How deep would you have to dig to reach the mantle? Let's pretend that you and your friends tried to dig a hole in your backyard to find a shortcut to China. The thing is, you guys had special suits that could withstand extreme temperatures, so you would not die. If you were somehow able to reach the mantle, what would it look like? What kinds of things would you see? How about the outer core? Inner core? What would it look like as you approached the surface (the crust) on the other side?

1) 3.6 kilometers deep in South Africa
2) 35 kilometers to get to the Mantle
3) I would see a sea of liquid rock near the core. But as I first drilled through the crust I would see rock, not in liquid form. In the outer core I would swim in a sea of Iron. In the inner core i would see, in rock form, Iron again. As I approached the surface again I would see chunks of rocks.

What grade do you deserve for your 1st Quarter Blogs? Why do you deserve this grade? Which blog was your best?

I think I deserve a B. For a percentage grade I think a 90 is what I deserve.
I deserve this grade because I have completed all my blogs and because I have completed them neatly and on time.
I think Blog post number 4. I think this because it was my favorite and I spent the most time on it.
